How long will it take to receive my hat or fascinator?
If you are purchasing a ready-made hat from my online shop, I aim to dispatch your hat within 48 hours. It will be posted by Royal Mail, via tracked and signed for delivery.
Orders going outside the UK will be sent by Royal Mail International. If you have a tight deadline, I can arrange for a courier for a fixed fee of £45.
If you would like to order something to be made for you, ideally I need a turn around time of a minimum of four weeks. If you are on a tighter deadline than that, get in touch and I will certainly see what I can do.
How much does postage cost?
Postage within the UK is free for any order. For anywhere outside of the UK, postage is a flat rate of £10.
If you need your item quickly, I can arrange for a courier service at a flat rate of £45.
I really love a hat that is showing as sold out – is it too late for me to have one like that?
Not necessarily! Contact me and I will happily see what I can do for you. Each design is made individually by hand, so while I may not be able to copy it exactly, I could create something very similar for you.
I’m confused about all the options – how do I know which fastening I should choose to wear my fascinator?
There is more information about the ways to wear fascinators in this blog post: https://www.warrillowstudio.com/blog/howtochoosehats
Headbands are always the most straight-forward option if you are unsure, but please do contact me if you would like any more advice.
I love this hat, but I’m not sure if it will suit me. Can I return it if that’s the case?
Ready-made designs can be returned within 14 days of receipt, yes. When trying it on at home, please ensure not to get any make-up on the headpiece, as I won’t be able to accept it back if there is any damage to the item.
Commissions and bespoke items are non-returnable, but I can send you a sample for a deposit for you to check the shape and style before you go ahead with your order.
I want to match a particular colour in my outfit, but you don’t have any fascinators that look close. What can I do?
Most of the designs on display in my online shop can be requested in a different colour. If you have a swatch of material that is ideal for me to match your fascinator to. If not, then I find Dulux paint charts a really good way of you to communicate the colour you need! Of course, if you are nearby you are more than welcome to bring your outfit to my studio to look at colour options.
This colour looks right on the screen, but I’d like to make sure it will match my outfit. What’s the best thing to do?
If you would like to check a colour, simply fill in the contact form to request a swatch from me. Remember to give me your postal address, and the name of the fascinator you are interested in.
I really like the style of a particular fascinator, but I need a different colour. Is that possible?
In most cases, yes! Simply contact me with your colour request and I will happily see what I can do.
I’ve seen a fascinator in a photo, can you copy it for me?
No. Under no circumstances will I copy the design of another milliner. This would be unethical, not to mention illegal. We can use pictures to inspire a new design, but it would only be ‘in the spirit of’. The best thing to do to get a copy of a design is to go to the original designer.
I have my outfit and I need a fascinator, but I don’t have a clue what to do next! Can you help me?
I’d be more than happy to help! Some people want to have more input in their design, or know what they want. Others will simply show me their outfit, and either visit the studio themselves, or send a photo of themselves. With a few questions by phone or email, I can make something that you will feel confident and comfortable in.
I live near your studio, can I come to visit you?
Absolutely, you’d be very welcome! Please contact me to book an appointment; it’s a home studio, so I like to make sure I’m not working in my pyjamas when you call round! I can be flexible with appointments, so if you need an evening or weekend that’s not a problem.
