A hen party, some Pimms, and lots of flower crowns!
Or should that be the other way around?!
The sun was shining, it seemed that summer was here all of a sudden. Easter bank holiday weekend, and Joanne was having her hen party, in a gorgeous converted barn in the countryside near Chester.
We arrived to set up in a shroud of mystery… only one person had organised the weekend for these 19 hens - no mean feat! So the workshop was a surprise activity at Pimms o’clock!
After a quick demonstration and top tips for making their flower crowns, the girls’ first job was to choose their colour scheme. From bright yellows and oranges, to muted pinks and purples, there was a choice for all tastes.
Helped along with refreshments, the hens got down to work, with plenty of help and advice whenever they needed it.
And the group shot in the garden! Didn’t they do well?! All the designs were great to see, and helped to create a lovely memory of their special weekend, and of course the final designs are theirs to keep. I even heard a whisper that one of the ladies was planning to wear hers on Joanne’s wedding day… shhhhhh!
